Spicy Honey Baked Chicken

Baked chicken is often soft and tasty, great for the kids and the elderly. This honey baked chicken is simply delicious. You can even omit some of the spices and spiced it according to your taste.

Spicy Honey Baked Chicken Ingredients
  • Half a large Chicken, cut into bite-size pieces
  • Marinate ingredients:
    • 2 tablespoon honey
    • 1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic
    • 1 tablespoon finely chopped ginger
    • 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
    • ½ tablespoon dark soya sauce
    • 1 tablespoon of light soya sauce
    • 1 teaspoon of salt
    • ½ teaspoon pepper
    • 1 tablespoon crushed palm sugar or brown sugar
    • 2 tablespoon mango chutney or 2 tablespoon tamarind juice
    • 2-3 tablespoon water
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil or cooking oil, or butter
    • ½ teaspoon chili powder (optional)
    • ½ teaspoon turmeric (optional)
    • 1 teaspoon belacan granules or shrimp cake (optional)
    • 2 tablespoon olive oil or cooking oil 
Method
  • Preheat oven to 170 deg.C
  • Clean and cut chicken into bite size pieces. Chop garlic, ginger and onions finely.
  • Marinate the chicken with all the ingredients for at least 1-2 hours.
  • Place the chicken and marinated ingredients on a large baking tray.
  • Bake the chicken for about 40-45 minutes.
  • Serve with rice or other dishes
