Sweet dough for Savoury fillings

Sweet dough for Savoury fillings - Use this dough to make all kinds of buns or bread plain or with savoury fillings.

Ingredients

  • 400g flour
  • 70g sugar
  • 75g butter/margarine
  • 11g instant yeast (1 sachet)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp condensed milk
  • 1 egg
  • 180ml water

Method
1. Put all ingredients, except water, into a mixing bowl of an electric mixer. Slowly mix the ingredients, pouring in your water slowly, and beat for 1 minute.
2. Change the mixer speed to medium and mix for about 7-8 minutes
3. Remove dough and leave it on a clean flat surface or table. Cover dough with a large bowl to rest for about 20 minutes.
4. Knead your dough, stretch and fold it, then cover it and leave aside for a further 15 minutes.
5. Repeat step above and rest the dough for another 5 minutes.
6. Reshape your dough to your desired shape. This dough is for buns and other savoury filled bread/ buns – refer other recipes
